Group Blog

My group consists of four people, Lili Amblard, Brianna Reyes, Aleiah Luster, and myself. The person we are adding to our group this time around is Brianna. Over the first few months of school, I became really good friends with her and thought she would be a great asset to our team. I also decided to stay as a group with Lili and Aleiah. We have adapted to each other very well and know what capabilities each of us contain. To begin, Lili is a great asset to the team, because she is so sweet and gets her work done on time without procrastinating which keeps all of us on task as well. Also, she has a keen eye to anything that doesn't seem right or should be adjusted. Equally as important, Aleiah is patient and present in every conversation which gives us effective communication. Additionally, she has a brain full of amazing ideas that will work in favor to produce an excellent final product. Adding on, Brianna has great thinking skills and collaborates many of her ideas into our conversations. Lastly, I will also make a remarkable impact to the group by providing the team with my skills for art, design ideas, and film-making suggestions. I will contribute by guaranteeing that we are persistent, friendly, and resourceful with what we have around us to help us in the process of generating our project. Furthermore, something that we all have in common that will help us get the work completed efficiently and appropriately is that the four of us are very open-minded. With all of us combining our heads together with our different backgrounds and distinct propositions, we will undoubtedly assemble a product that will astound the audience with our music video. To continue, we are all very kind and loving, therefore we won't have any issues with bickering and will always find the better solution to the complication. If we ever disagree, we will have no problem working around it and meeting in the middle. I can ensure that we will not have any negative feedback on each other and will enjoy working as a team together. Moreover, we have flexible schedules that will allow us to meet with one another if ever needed and will respond to any inconveniences to help sort it out while at the same time being considerate and understanding. Likewise, my group is very attentive which will help in the long run of fixing little details and editing our film. For our music video, we have all agreed to use the song Who Says by Selena Gomez & The Scene. We decided to use this song for many reasons. One is because it has a great, upbeat rhythm and it has beautiful lyrics. Also, we thought it would produce a great video where the four of us could all be in it. We are all optimistic, therefore we will motivate each other to try our hardest and complete it to the best of our abilities. All in all, Lili, Brianna, Aleiah, and I will collaborate together in this project to create a fantastic outcome.

Production Blog: Props

Before my group and I start filming, I want to give a brief overview of the props that I will be using throughout my film. First, I will need to buy a bulletin board for the scene where the stalker's room is shown. Here, there will be pictures of Chloe and her information including birth certificates, grade reports, and other legal documents. There will be manila folders that one of my groupmates bought and red yard with push pins to make the scene look even more realistic and set the creepy aesthetic. The picture of "Chloe" is really an image of Lili, one of my groupmates. She is still having difficulty choosing a picture but the film will be better-suited if it was a close-up portrait with just her in it. This will allow the viewer to see that Rachel, the stalker, is strictly keen on Chloe. There will be pictures in the folder and an additional portrait in a frame that we must buy as well.  1) A group of teenage girls have a sleepover only to find out that one of them will be the death of the rest.  - We would be interested in making this film, because we all love suspense and we have never tried to produce this type of genre. It could be interesting seeing how we work together on this project and create an acceptable film. We all enjoy watching horror films and would like to form something similar to it. Moreover, we believe there are more adaptable props that could improve our movie. Lastly, my groupmates and I all share a passion for horror movies, so we thought it would be a nice opportunity to recreate one.  2) A pair of childhood friends are oblivious to the fact that they both love each other. They soon find out the unexpected.  - We would not be interested in this film, because we would need a male character in order to go in accordance with the storyline. Production Blog: First Day of Filming

We had our first day of filming! I'm so excited to get this show on the road and it was really fun being able to start a new film since last year. It has been so long and I feel like I have really progressed with my filming skills and concepts. My crew is basically the same people where everyone from last year is still part of our production group. The only thing that changed is that Brianna (who was in my group last year) is no longer in our Media Studies group. However, Hannah, her twin sister, is in our group this year. I really enjoyed filming the first scenes to our short movie. I had a lot of fun and there were no arguments since my group is already confidential with one another. For this first day of filming, my group and I felt that it was best to buy all of our props and begin the most challenging scenes which included going to a restaurant near a bridge.
