Final Task

Image
I don't have any words. I just can't believe that I'm actually done with the final task. It was definitely a journey. I have had so much fun producing this film with my group. I could not have asked for a better team. They are all great individual human beings and together we have created something we wouldn't have imagined from the start. I am proud for what I have accomplished these past few months and am extremely excited to show you what I have created. I can definitely see progression from my other projects to this one. I put much hard work and took time to be able to complete this film with my group. The film is spectacular for my group and we think we did marvelous. Our horror movie was one of the funnest and craziest things I have ever made in my life. This was an amazing experience and glad I chose to push through it. I am incredibly honored to present to you my 2-minute film!

Changes Made From Film Review

After the constructive feedback, I made many changes to my movie. After I had showed my brother, I also showed other family members and friends. Multiple people told me that it needed to be creepier and give the audience a sense of terror. From this, I added a filter that made the scenes darker. This gave an eerie effect that improved my movie. Additionally, the most important thing I needed for my movie to even be graded entirely was the time. I need 21 more seconds to complete the two minutes. Therefore, my group got together and was able to finish up what was left of the scenes. The shots turned out amazing and I am very grateful to have them in my group. To continue, I made the font of the credits red and seem as if it was blood. This would make it fit my theme of blood-curdling murders amongst the friend group. Also, I made them around 2 to 3 seconds in length for there to be enough time for the audience to see but not too much that it's taking away attention from the actual s

After reviewing my film multiple times I came to the realization that we needed more seconds. After filming a bit more to reach our two minutes, it was time to finalize our editing. The first thing I did was put everything into the application I've been using this whole time, CapCut. This software has helped my group and I tremendously throughout the editing process. After inserting all of our clips into one entire video, I placed them in order. This was made a lot easier with our storyboard in hand. Once I did this, I corrected the credits that I had placed earlier and made the font fit our horror film. We used the same font for every credit except the title since we wanted that to pop out the most. I placed transitions into the fonts so they could flow in and out of the screen. This will make the overall movie seem structured nicely and organized. Furthermore, I had to add in many sound effects to fit our shots. The first thing I inserted was the doorbell sound around the end of

Film Review

My film is fairly close to done. We added all of the clips together but we haven't really edited yet. However, we urgently needed a film review to observe what was wonky and needed some improvements. Therefore, I asked my brother to tell me exactly what needed arrangements and the best things he liked throughout it. I told him to be extremely honest and give me constructive feedback. He said it would be no problem and that he would explain to me exactly what he felt needed adjusting. To begin with, he said the beginning needed to be darker to set the mood as eerie. He also said the credits needed to be in a creepier font that matched the genre. Next, he said the credits also needed to be positioned in a place that wouldn't cover the main parts of the acting, such as the person being filmed. Therefore, he said it would be better to put it on the side to avoid this. Then, he explained to me how the jump cuts of Brianna and I switching looked a bit off. He described it as being &q

I have finally finished filming for my movie. I am extremely happy for all that we’ve accomplished so far. My group and I have worked very hard and diligently to get to where we are right now. The next thing on my list is to edit the scenes together. In class, I added all of our best clips together. When I did this the film was past 2 minutes but I wasn’t worried since we have to edit a lot out. Then, once Lili and I started to shorten the shots I came to the realization that our time was going to be lower than what we needed. My group and I had to discuss a lot over this. All of us came to the conclusion that we would need to meet up again to record more to scenes to insert. This would allow us to meet the requirements. Thus, my group and I planned to film on Sunday when we are all free. Additionally, we kept editing what we could since we still had 1 minute 41 seconds done. The first thing we did was work on the sound. I added in the creepy music that was decided earlier. I also put
