Production Blog - Filming the Music Video
The filming of my music video project was full of ups and downs. However, overall it was a fun adventure that had to be taken with my group to portray the best final draft we could dig up. To begin with, our first day of filming took place at Lili's house. It was a bit uncoordinated, because we couldn’t find a day that we were all free. Eventually, we found a day that worked for all of us and that was on November 23rd. That same day we had to push the time further because of some inconveniences. One of my group mates, Brianna, brought her twin sister so that she could record for us and they actually got to Lili’s house first. Then I got there about half an hour later. Lastly, Aleiah got to the house shortly after I had arrived. Right then and there we began to film our video. We first started with the scene where I was sitting on the bed. This took several takes because everyone was behind the camera and they couldn't stop laughing with me. Right when doing this scene I got the idea to look more depressed by wearing glasses, however this was not planned so I had used Lili's. It was a bit blurry since we don't have the same prescription, therefore I got dizzy but I was able to push through and finish this clip. Furthermore, for the clip where we had to look like we were changing my clothes behind a door, my group and I had to film many takes. This was because we couldn't get the correct angles or it wasn't timed correctly. Additionally, we had planned to go to the mall this same day, however the mom of Brianna and Hannah did not allow them to leave the house. Consequently, my group and I planned to do it another day after school. Lastly, we had to do the pool scene which took much discussion if whether or not we should do this scene or change the storyboard. It was very cold outside, but we managed and took the last scene of my music video. All in all, this first day of filming was extremely productive since we only had one last scene to complete.
