Production Blog: Final Editing

After reviewing my film multiple times I came to the realization that we needed more seconds. After filming a bit more to reach our two minutes, it was time to finalize our editing. The first thing I did was put everything into the application I've been using this whole time, CapCut. This software has helped my group and I tremendously throughout the editing process. After inserting all of our clips into one entire video, I placed them in order. This was made a lot easier with our storyboard in hand. Once I did this, I corrected the credits that I had placed earlier and made the font fit our horror film. We used the same font for every credit except the title since we wanted that to pop out the most. I placed transitions into the fonts so they could flow in and out of the screen. This will make the overall movie seem structured nicely and organized. Furthermore, I had to add in many sound effects to fit our shots. Production Blog: Music Overview

My group and I have not been able to meet up yet to film the first part of our movie. We have decided to schedule it for a later time since we all have busy schedules these days. Therefore, this first blog I am writing will be about the music we agreed on for the background of our film and how we chose it. To begin with, there were a multitude of options to pick from. It was very difficult coming to one final song. However, we found this was the creepiest and spin-chilling sound of them all. We had an entire list of the songs we had in mind. Some included Slendy's Lullaby, Chloe's Lullaby, and I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire. I had given these ideas, plus Tiptoe Through The Tulips. We all agreed this one, Tiptoe Through The Tulips, would be our best bet in making our soon-recorded film scary. Editing Blog

On October 11th, my group and I edited all of our shots together into one complete commercial. Since I had recorded all of the shots, I transferred them into an application called CapCut so my group could access it as well. Some of the shots we had taken were too long and took much space up from the entirety of the video. Therefore, my group and I had to cut some of them into shorter clips, while still having it make sense. We made everything fit into a final time of 28 seconds. However, it is still missing the logo that my group and I want to add at the end of the film. I feel that it is essential to add the JanSport logo to finalize the video. Not only will this conclude the commercial, but it will also remind the audience what product the video is persuading. It will leave them thinking of the name "JanSport" which will overall complete the goal of intriguing and making them want to purchase the backpack.
